Goldens SHEDD!

Goldens are recognised by their beautiful golden coat, but all that beauty comes with a price! Their long coats need lots of brushing, they also need their nails trimmed, their ears cleaned, their teeth cleaned and a bath. It’s a lot of work.

But you know what? All breeds of dogs require grooming to keep their coats looking healthy and clean. Though a golden might need a little bit more time for brushing than some shorter coated breeds and their floppy ears might need more attention than breeds with pointed up ears. 

Goldens lose their coat constatly, I even find golden hair in my lunch. Does it both me? Not in the slightest – I am under the golden spell and completely in love. And I’m sure most golden owners would say the same. But if you don’t like fur everywhere then this probably isn’t the breed for you.  

Goldens drip hair around the house all year long and when they are dropping undercoat huge chunks and volumes of hair will be coming out. So, you will be finding hair on your furniture, on your carpets, on your clothes even in your food.
